What other colleges are you considering?

Just like the question says.

umich, stern of course, unc-ch, washu
i also applied to syracuse, gw, and lehigh but since i already got into michigan i would go to mich over those 3 (unless one of them gives me serious scholarship money).

Boston U, SMU, USC, Pepperdine, American, UT @ Austin

Whoa, English, how did Pepperdine get in with that group?

I actually considered Pepperdine too back in the day, I visited, but never applied. Pepperdine is in a sweeeet location.

Oh, I know, I've been there and it's gorgeous. But it's so different than the others, very conservative, very religious, and very small. :)

Well I'd presume SMU is religious and conservative as well. NYU, BU, and UT Austin are obviously not...but he can find people with those views there as they have very diverse student bodies. Its also good that a person applies to a wide array of colleges...more options.

Oh, and for a religious school...Pepperdine people seem to drink and party pretty hard....now thats something in common with some of those other schools on the list...including NYU of course..:).

i'm not applying for the religios aspect of it, I just like the schools, and I change all the time, I just wanted options come April for decision making

The only other school I'm seriously considering is UF. It's instate and I'll get free tuition. Will be far cheaper. I really want that NYC experience though. I hate FL but I'll have some great friends going to UF. I'll have many new experiences, though, in NYC. Bah. I'll probably make this decision somewhat impulsively and I'll switch back and forth between the two.

I think if I don't get into NYU I'll probably go to Fordham (already got in with a nice scholarship), but I'm also looking at USC and BU

Chicagojen,

I would hands down take USC over Fordham, not sure about BU though. Of course, I would take NYU over them all.

I was very interested in Cornell, applied ED...got rejected. I also applied to NYU, Boston College, UDel, Binghamton, Carnegie-Mellon...but I got into NYU's GSP program so I think I'll be going there now.

cornell is horrible, its just lucky its an ivy.

UT @ Austin

U Michigan (Got in)
UMD-CP (got in Gemstone)
UPenn
Dartmouth
Johns Hopkins

My other schools were:

UCL (University College London)
LSE (London School of Economics)
Georgetown

and a safety in a community college.

In addition to NYU Stern, I applied to BC (waiting, RD), UIUC (in), Umich (in), Penn State (in), Rutgers (in-state, in). I was gonna do UChicago for econ, but I decided not to. It probably wasn't right for me.

Columbia (rejected ED), Dartmouth, Fordham, Hobart, Ithaca, NYU, Notre Dame, and Syracuse

Cornell, GWU (accepted), Columbia, NYU, Johns Hopkins, Rutgers (instate got into honors program), Wesleyan, BU, Bucknell (hate it just needed a safety school)

PSU University Park (safety- accepted) and Northwestern (Medill)
