RD decision date

When does Oberlin release RD decisions? I'm pretty confident that they release before April 1st. Anyone got past decision dates?

Last year, March 25 or 26th (for the College) by mail on the west coast.

I got an email from a counselor saying they’re planning to mail decisions in the last week fo March… so yeah, basically around March 25th or 26th :P

It won’t be any earlier than March 25th, and may be a few days later than that.

Does Oberlin notifies decision by email? It’d take forever for us international students to get those postal mails…

In case anyone is wondering (I’m sure you are) a blog said March 25th: [Oberlin Blogs | Blog Entry: “What’s going on in the Admissions Office?”](http://blogs.oberlin.edu/applying/selection_process/whats_going_on.shtml)

International students are notified by email, everyone else has to wait for the postal mail.

According to the blog replies, international students will receive their decisions by THIS FRIDAY through emails. Those in continental U.S…I guess you guys will have to wait for postal mail :)

THIS FRIDAY?!!! AAAHHHHH. I’m so excited. I just love Oberlin :D

This Friday is just the TARGET DATE for sending out the international decision emails. I’ve got no guarantees that they will all actually be sent on Friday. So don’t freak out if you don’t get your email until Monday or Tuesday.

Are US applicants’ letters sent out the same day that international applicants’ emails are sent? Or are they sent later?

Also, I just want to say that it’s pretty amazing Oberlin admissions staffers comment on college confidential threads-- I’m surprised more colleges don’t do it; it’s really helpful. It seems like Oberlin is really ahead on using these forums, facebook, etc. to make sure applicants know what’s going on. Thanks a bunch Aries and Elizabeth!

wisher: see #4 above.

so US applicants still have to wait til the 25th? bummer… haha

@ElizabethHouston: I know you can do it! I demand you to release the decisions tomorrow! anyway, to everyone who applied to Oberlin, Good luck

Tomorrow! Aah! That is amazing!
It is nice that we do get emails, because sending a letter to the Netherlands, and I reckon most overseas countries, takes ages.
I reckon mine will come a little later though, since I send in my financial aid information really late… (stupid non-custodial parent haha)

Alas, Monday is really soon too, I reckon I could survive the extra weekend, with a minor heart attack here and there. I shall just go and stalk the Oberlin Class of 2014 facebook group again. Or not procrastinate for once, and study.

Good luck guys!

(And indeed, Oberlin is much more transparent about decisions etcetera than most other colleges - thank you!)

@GuiltyBystander: at least you live in Netherlands, well-developed country. I live in Chile, a country that is torn apart by massive earthquake. I’ll probably receive my postal mail in 2012 or something.

P.S - Oberlin sent all applicants residing in Chile saying Oberlin hopes all of us is safe. I think it was a really nice thing for Oberlin to do - taking care of small things. :)

Gosh, Jamie, I hope all your family and friends are OK! That is really sweet of Oberlin to send that message as well.

They seem like such a friendly college <3

Yeah, Oberlin was the friendliest and nicest college trough out the admission process. Hope, those who deserves will get in. Good luck to everybody.

I got my acceptance today via email

@ arashi8 - Are you international?
