Alright. Easier for me then because I do need to wake up early but I’m just an excited co-Reedie of the Class of 2014. Last year they sent e-mails at around 4pm PST(4:08 pm to be precise), at least for international students and I wasn’t on this forum or anything so I had no idea.

sushmita, you’re going to make it! My Reedie friend and I, have come to the conclusion that the Admission Office does a fabulous job of recognising Reedies, judging by the Reedies we’ve met and I can see you feel like a Reedie, so just for this last hour(s), keep your hopes up! I know I am, for you and for everyone who has applied. I only wish Reed had a gazillion dollars and enough space to accomodate all its applicants. Oh well.

I have to wake up early tommorow:) we have school on Saturdays in Russia =D but, well, you only wait for the undergrad decisions once in a lifetime (kind of), so its ok.

It could take a couple of hours to deliver some three thousand notifications to their respective mail servers, so don’t conclude anything (where’s mine?) when the first messages begin to arrive.

^ Yes, I agree with vossron. Don’t freak out or assume the worst or do something crazy.

Also, vossron, would you have any idea if waitlist/rejection e-mails are sent at the same time, or do those go out later? I heard that they have separate pools according to the decision (accepted, rejected, waitlisted) and send out e-mails separately to those pools.

No, sorry, I don’t know if they go out at separate times, but it makes sense from an email management standpoint. Maybe we’ll find out as people report results.

I applied early decision 1 (deferred…so I’m waiting too). Anyways, emails are sent out in batches. So they will be arriving at slightly different times.

Okay, I didn’t know it’s actually 3:15 pm now according to PDT. My e-mail was then sent at 5:08 pm PDT, so if last year’s trends are anything to go by, this is going to stretch on for a bit longer.

TelephoneInLife, you must be a novice at this, considering Reed’s the only place you applied but then you’ll be done with it soon, so it works out well.

Haha yeah I was wondering, but people do weird stuff and screw up their sleep cycles when it comes to decisions. Anyway, if you feel like a nap, just go and do that for a bit-if sleep is scarce, just lie down and listen to music you like. It’ll help keep your anxieties at bay.
