It doesn’t sound like it will be bad in Western Mass either.

I hope not - we really want to see his play. Going down I-91 is fairly hilly but perhaps by Friday afternoon all will be well. Thanks.

Yay! Big envelope! My son won’t be home to open it until this evening though. Now I can stop stalking the mailman.

Excellent! Keep your fingers crossed for it getting to NH.

Congratulations :-)

Congrats to everyone with that big envelope! Can you guys please post your stats please? That’s part of the purpose of this thread.

I’ll post his stats later with his permission after he opens it, I’m curious if he made it into the honors college as his rank was just outside the top 10%, 19/188, though his test scores and gpa were fine.

Thanks for that. I’m hoping for honors college for my son although his test scores are a little lower vs. what they post but his GPA is really good. My son is deaf (he listens and speaks with cochlear implants) so if he doesn’t get into the honors college I’m thinking UMass will be too big. We’ve found with my older son - also deaf, also with cochlear implants - that a smaller venue is an accommodation in and of itself. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for both our boys!

Nothing!!!

Damn! Probably the same up here.

Then again, who knows if his acceptance/rejection is in the group to start with?

sigh

Ugg, I know! I feel like I am because of the sudden switch from complete to under review. I really dislike this wave setup

Hi Emma - my son’s been under review for awhile now. Maybe a month?

Not from what I’ve heard. I asked my friends to go there what to expect and they told me one-two weeks after going from complete to under review. It makes no sense to review an application for over a month. I’m confident I’ll get it soon

My son’s application was submitted December 25 - so more than two months. I’m liking to think they have something wonderful in mnd for him :-)

Congrats Did you receive letter via snail mail or email first ?

Are you sure it says under review? Because even when it was complete, when you clicked on the link, it said under review. But when it changes, the link says under review and when you click it it says thanks for being patient and that I will hear from them shortly. I thought mine was under review the whole time until it changed. It’s slightly confusing

Yes - this is what it says: Your application is under consideration for admission. While we realize that you are anxious to receive your decision, please understand that we want to take the time to give each application the full attention that it deserves.

Decision letters are mailed according to the following schedule:

I just got my acceptance letter today!

Congrats Beatlesfreak!

@BTMell - Thank you!!

I got my acceptance letter today as well! 11k scholarships. 1280/1600 and 4.2W/3.4 UW. So excited. UMASS Class of 2017!!!
