Sigh. Two waitlists here as well (in addition to some acceptances with insufficient finaid), and I need a shiny ray of hope.

Well I know that you guys are all international students, but as for financial aid, my package was fantastic. I found out on the 20th and have been thrilled. Go Mac '13!

Good luck guys. Hope to see you all next year!

I’m so happy for you m.c.10!
and thanks :)

m.c. 10, thanks for the encouragement, it means a lot to us internationals Congratulations on your Mac admission! That’s great, I’m sure you are going to have a fantastic time! Indeed, hope to see you next year!

yeah thanks m.c.10

while we internationals are waiting, lets introduce ourselves. where are all u guys from?

im from Pakistan :)

oh and btw i asked my counselor today, apparently mac is known for giving quite a few good aid packages to internationals. so here is to hoping we are all successful :D

wouldn’t that be awesome if we all were in?? happy thought …we SHOULD get extra points for being on here and caring so much…

anyways, my screen name should make it obvious, but specifically I’m from near Toronto

I’m from Sweden.
^^

i’m really nervous what if we dont get the decisions today? their workday will be over in a couple of hours after all.

well remember that North America is now on daylight time (don’t know if you guys do that overseas?) anyways, there’s three hours left til 5 in St Paul…but I agree it is somewhat concerning :S

Bulgaria here Well, Mac is the only school I haven’t heard from and a personal favorite for a long time… so I’m really anxious. Some of my decisions from Northeastern colleges arrived by e-mail at like 1 am in the morning here, which would be 5 pm US time (with daylight and everything considered), so we shouldn’t lose any hope. And I know that MIT, for instance, announced their decisions at 8 pm US time.

Haha, i’m thinking Michigan time. I forgot there’s a time difference.

yes, I’ve heard of 5 pm emails too…

oh snap. i can’t stay up that long. i have a big math test tomorrow. and if i check my email in the morning and i get rejected, i’ll be too upset to take the test. what a dilemma.

i’m from Bulgaria, too… It certainly is a turbulent time… But i’m sure everyone will find their niche :)

Well if anyone could confirm the time, it’d be great. or even the date…i mean do we know for sure that it is 31?

It says the 30th on the website.
Time. we have no clue.
http://www.macalester.edu/admissions/apply/deadlines.html

Yep, that feeling. I found out that I’m equally incapable of school work after I get an acceptance or a rejection alike. I think you’re ready for that test and whatever the decision is (if we get to know by tomorrow) – you’ll be well motivated to take it ;)

I’m staying maybe for an hour more, and then catching on my zz’s if I can go without waking up in the middle of night, thinking of Mac’s decision. Ahh… the last hours of waiting are the hardest ones.

so i couldnt take waiting too much and i called up the macalester admissions. i asked are the decisions coming out and she said ‘No. they are coming out by april 1st’

gasp
i hope that is not true, and its just some way of them trying to keep us all guessing
i remember my brandeis decision came out at 3 am Pakistan time, and Sarah Lawrence at 7 am, its almost 1 am here so i am not losing hope though!!
good luck to everyone

WHAAAAAAT?!
they changed it?!

Ouch … Prospec, thanks for the info and the call. I really wished I could see the decision before going to bed, I’m tired of all waiting. Hope dies last, though.

Everything will turn out fine soon, guys.
