***RD Haverford 2020***

Hey y’all! I keep searching for this thread and decided to create it myself.

Who all is waiting to hear from Haverford???

I am

How hard did you search? A similar one was created December 2015.

@dscottvb That was essentially a chance me, not a discussion for everyone who applied RD. Sorry to upset.

@admitmemaybe No worries. The last 4 posts in that thread are speculations as to when decisions would be published, so it seemed similar to me. But you are correct that the original post was Chance Me, even though the title did not specify that.

I believe in both 2015 and 2014 the RD notifications were mailed on a Tuesday (24th and 25th)

Haverford tweeted a pic of the acceptance letters being delivered to the mail room today

Oh gawsh…here we go! Good luck to all who applied, and I hope we receive good news over the next few days.

@dscottvb Yeah, I know what you’re saying! I just didn’t want to clog their thread up haha
And OMG @chaly0528 social media is so helpful, sometimes I wish I had more

We can do it guys!!!

Also, internationals are notified by email first and will eventually get snail mail. Just in case any international applicants are looking

Hey everyone, does anyone know if domestic applicants will ever get decisions on their portals? I know Haverford does things by snail mail, but do rejection letters come as well as acceptance letters? Just wanted to make sure in case I get rejected and possibly wouldn’t know.

A similar question about methods of notification: does anyone know how American citizens abroad are treated? We are American and have a mailing address in the United States, but actually live outside of the country - it will be weeks before snail mail reaches us if they only send a letter.

Those all look like big envelopes in the twitter photo. Not sure what that means.

I just got accepted via email notification. I guess that means notifications are out?

@arianayett are you from the States or international?

@SriKuncoro I’m in the same boat as you. Did you indicate a foreign address as well? Or only American. I put down my international address and was notified via email.

Yeah, international applicants are notified via email with snail mail eventually reaching you

Does anyone know if Haverford sends its acceptances by Priority mail or regular mail?

To update for posterity: my American son who lives abroad was notified by email. On his Haverford application, he had three addresses: 2 mailing addresses (one a US mail drop and one his address in Indonesia) and 1 residence address. So FWIW the school did figure out that despite his American citizenship and a US mailing address, he did need the email. (He got waitlisted at Haverford and another of his top choices today - how frustrating!)

Hugs for your son @SriKuncoro!
