RD mailed out!

So I guess I will have to camp out at the mailbox tomorrow.. great!

I'm planning on staying up really late so I can wake up late so, by then, the mail will have already been delivered.

I'm going to get really worried if I don't get anything tomorrow. =/

I'm gonna be checking the mailbox every minute...this is gonna be great!!! anyway, good luck everybody!!!

me too! Is there any chance acceptances will come on monday (in Ohio) or are you pretty much rejected if you dont get something tomorrow?

Everyone is waiting by their mailbox?

I'm AVOIDING my mailbox at all costs. I'm pretending it doesn't even exist.

I'm scared of going to the mailbox and seeing a standard sized envelope, and bringing it in and my parents seeing the look of dejection on my face.

I'm crossing my fingers it'll come tomorrow...vandy's the only one left I'm waiting for and I'm excited for the whole waiting process to be over with.

Just physically open it outside...

It's better that way, for some reason.

Amen to the pink person and hilsa. Amennnn.

I live in Maine, do you think I'll get my letter Saturday or Monday?

But you don't have to even open it. You can just tell by what kind of packaging it is in whether you got accepted or not.

yeah but do we know if Vandy is a big envelope or small one? Don't tell me. I want to not know. One of my friends got accepted by four schools--all of which were small envelopes

3.8%? 1560?

Yeah, I definitely got rejected.

I thought Vandy was in a big envelope?

I might open it outside, as per your advice. But as hilsa said, eventually I'll need to walk inside and explain it to my parents.

I'll be out all day tomorrow! No driving by my mailbox with my eyes in the exact opposite direction! 8)

pinkcupcake do you think it will make it to new england tomorrow?

1560 is the 75th percentile. Worry about the 50th percentile.

God. My friend and I counted 15 people from my school applying to Vandy. 5 of them have gotten in through MOSAIC. That leaves 10 of us left with all 1400+/32+/3.8+GPA/7+APs. I don't stand out at all. My school is too ridiculous.

Duncan - Possibly! If it was mailed out yesterday it might. I live in NJ so it might make it to me first -- I'll post when I receive my small, thin envelope :P From what I seem to remember, someone said Vandy sents acceptances through priority mail and waitlistings/rejection letters through regular post...? So you might be getting yours well before I get mine! My best prediction is that everyone will be receiving letters Saturday & Monday. For BC, they sent their letters out on 03/24 and I received my rejection letter on 03/26. My good friend received her waitlist letter on 03/27 and she lives like 3 streets down from me.

Hilsa - AGREED. That's just like my school. There are so many bright kids who are all applying to the same schools. :[

Any estimates on how long either decision (priority mail/regular mail) takes to get from Nashville to Cincinnati?

yeahh dude. Same here. There are twenty to thirty kids easy out of my class of 120 that have SAT scores in the 1900's and higher, are in a million clubs, members of NHS and have a GPA of over a 93. AND in a million AP's. Pinkcupcake, do you mind telling me some of your stats? haha its fine if you don't.

(p.s., im easily getting rejected by vandy you're not alone. and think positively! im serious)

My friend got in with a 1900 something SAT, no great ECs, applied for fin aid (didn't get it), and bad essays (not a native speaker of English). But she had a high GPA, like 3.89 UW, so that could be why.

Well, it takes 4 hours to get from Nashville to Cincinnati, so you should definitely get yours tomorrow.

I live 12 hours from Nashville. =/
