Received a likely in the mail today! Very excited!!
I actually thought it was a rejection letter (and that they were just unusually quick to send out decisions) because it was a thin envelope. Imagine my surprise when I realized what it was! :)

Got a likely today! Still hoping for some Merit Aid however… Without some I cannot attend…

Congrats on the likely letters…I’m in Boston so I’m hoping the mail is slow!

What did you guys have for stats: SAT/ACT/GPA/Rank/AP’s???

Got the letter too! What a great birthday present!

Son got one here in NY along with the email last week. They are offering up to 250.00 to travel down on certain days to visit the campus. We have visited once but I think we will go again as he still has not made up his mind where he is going.

DD received LL letter today, but did not receive an email. We did not even know that Richmond did LL’s.

She has loved Richmond since Sophmore year, but without some major aid, we can not afford it. We were hoping for Richmond Scholars but she was not even selected for 1st round.

This whole college application process is such a roller coaster of emotions! Can not wait until 4/1.

Congrats to all of you who received LLs! BTW,do you mean that your LL is sent to you by mail instead of by email? I’m an international…any int’l student here?

my LL was via snail mail

ceresma-Thanks!I guess int’l applicants won’t receive such LLs…

Or if they do it may take a while to receive them

Giantsfan–where did you get the info about the $250 toward airfare?

it was in the likely later. Said they would offer him up to 250 dollar in travel expense for car rental, mileage, plane tickets etc… to come to visit the campus on certain days.

Congrats everyone on the likelies, best wishes to the hopefuls (us included). Any West Coasters receive a likely letter by snail mail without an advance email?

Im in NY and nowhere in my LL did it say anything about $250…

im in NJ same here no money offered either although we did not apply for aid so maybe that could be the reason

If I have not received a likely letter, does that mean I got rejected, or just that my application wasn’t one of the best ones?

My friend got his in the mail yesterday and I checked today and did not get one. It’s not that I expect to get one, but it’s more of getting one would put my mind at ease, as April 1st seems centuries away.

I am very happy for my friend, but I find it bittersweet because I feel even more hopeless.

no a likely is typically only sent to a small percentage of accepted applicants so don’t worry

ceresma - Thank you! Congratulations on your LL!

Does anyone mind sharing their GPA/SATs?

I subscribed to a bunch of those “Chance me” websites and those computer-based percentages can just shoot numbers out at you.

Personally, I think it’s bad form that there were obviously different versions to these likely letters.

i got 250 dollar grant to travel to richmond and i did not apply for financial aid
