Rd?

When do decisions for RD get mailed out?

Can you check online?

I'm guessing end of this upcoming week (by April 1st) and no you cant check online

Last year, my D received her acceptance on Thursday, March 30. It was a very happy afternoon!

This year letters won't be sent out until this Thursday March 29th, so I would expect them at the start of next week.

Dima343 - Do results of the GWHS come out with RD notification if finalist was a RD applicant?

Yes. One envelope -- two letters -- one acceptance, the other GWHS news. Good luck to all!

Yup, that is correct, along with your housing contract and all that good stuff. You should be hearing in the next few days - they're all in the mail now. GOOD LUCK!

i'm rejected. The mail was dated March.29 but was actually sent out on Mar.14

I'm guessing you're an international applicant?

I was rejected too. The mail was dated March 29 but sent out on March 16.

sorry for everyone who was rejected. It really sux to imagine yourself somewhere and then learn that it will never be a reality. Seriously though, don't let a rejection from ANY school dim your excitement about college. I promise you, once you've figured out where you want to go, you will be just as excited about that option! Just keep an open mind and you will have a great time wherever you end up. I'm a firm believer in "everything happens for a reason". Maybe W&L just wasn't the right school for you (it wasn't for me, and I was accepted). Good Luck to you all.

yay! i got accepted yesterday! not sure i'll be able to afford it, but it's still nice to be accepted. does ne one know when they send out financial aid info?

You should get it a few days after your acceptance (within a week)

Oops -- meant to post on this thread, but the second try is the charm, let's hope ;)

Congratulations on your acceptances!

For those still trying to decide, recommend attending Accepted Students Day at W&L (and other schools) before deciding. Overnights and classroom visits also can be very valuable. One thing we saw over the past year among my S's friends as they have made their way through freshman year at many college campuses -- those who attended classes, stayed overnight, ate in the dining hall, "went out" with current students, etc seem to be much happier with their choices. Stands to reason, but I'm still surprised by how many make this big decision without such experiences.

D was waitlisted today and at first we were really surprised. She got into CMC which is the # 5 ranked LAC and she also got accepted to USC, UCLA, UC Berkley, UCSB and UCSD. But all is well as she has said that she really did not want the East coast. Again though it was a surprise.
