I was accepted to DUS University Park, but have become increasingly interested in Smeal. Am I able to be evaluated for Smeal after already being accepted? I would attend the school either way but would prefer for business.

I think that you can start a Smeal business major (or any other major) as a DUS student and then be accepted to the major after your sophomore year provided that you have taken the required courses for entrance to the major and have the minimum GPA.

On the other hand, it does not hurt to call and ask if you can be switched into Smeal, though, at this late date the spots might be filled (or you might be offered summer).

I’d prefer to go right in. And summers not really an option, i need to work.

I’ve read on here that even those admitted to Smeal as freshman need to apply to the school sophomore year.

^^^ Yah, I’ve read that too. The first year of college is usually general Ed classes anyway.
It would never hurt to call and ask. Good luck! :)
