I was rejected Business and just asked to be reconsidered for DUS. To anyone who has done this-how has it worked out?
Also, if i am admitted DUS is it possible to switch to Smeal once i am there?
Thanks

For me i was just accepted to smeal for summer session…is there any way that i can change this to fall for another major (DUS ?) I already have a job in line for the summer.

I was rejected for engineering at UPark, but accepted into Altoona, so I called them and asked for a switch to DUS/summer session.

This was back in mid november, and before the 11/30 priority deadline, so they told me that it will take until the end of January to find out for me.

I’m hoping since I interviewed with two officials at the school, that it will help me out a little bit, and since I sent a letter basically sucking up to the school, haha.

The worst part of all of this, is your status will stay the same until it changes to admit or denial. Mine has said “Congrats on your acceptance into Altoona” for the past 3 months, haha.

Hopefully it helps, since it shows dedication to the school, and persistence.

I originally got rejected from smeal at upark, but accepted at berks. I gave them a phone call and they said I’m accepted to upark summer session if I go DUS. So if I go to PSU then im going summer session at upark. They said if I maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher once im at PSU then I could get into my major, Finance. But for any other major in smeal, you need only a 3.0 GPA

For those who have emailed the admissions office to reconsider your application, to what email address did you send it? Also, which information should you include in the email and how should it be formatted? I applied to Smeal at University Park, but got accepted at a branch campus. I want to ask if I could be eligible for DUS Fall 2011 or at least Summer 2011, since I confidently chose not to select the summer tab when I sent my application. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I called them, then I sent an email to admissions@psu.edu saying I wanted a switch, including my name, address, psu id (long one, comes on any letters from the school, and fps id (the one you use to log in)

Then I sent a letter in a few days ago
