I was on the waitlist for Fall admission until my application was declined 3 days after the deadline. A week ago I received a letter letting me know of an offer to re-evaluate my application because I was a “strong applicant” who met the basic requirements. After updating my grades (currently I have a 2.949 GPA), I of course accepted the offer. Now I would like to know if I should be getting excited over this or not even bother getting my hopes up. How likely is it that I will get in? Does this get offered to a lot of students? Has anyone else received anything like this? Davis has been my dream school for 5 years now and I would love to be admitted as an Animal Science major.
To be honest, I wouldn’t get my hopes up if your GPA is 2.949. There was another poster whom was also offered the Winter admission so apparently they may have room. Good Luck.
Did they email you? I think I’ve gotten something similar, but I never got an email about it.
UPDATE: I was actually admitted. Now my other question: It says that I need to maintain a 2.8 or higher GPA. Does this account for my cumulative GPA or just my fall semester GPA? Thanks guys
I would believe that means your Fall/Spring GPA. But that shouldn’t be difficult for you, congrats man!
Well if they look at just the fall semester, I may get a C in O. chem which means my gpa will drop to a 2.774 idk if they round up
You should actually contact a UCD rep about this. Good luck with everything I’m rooting for ya.
