when do all your schools finish for the winter break? luckily mine ends this thursday and then im free for the winter break (which will be filled with college essay writing for most of my RD schools haha)

@Sushi, I had heard of him a little bit before. hes intellectually good. hilariously good as well haha. gotta love the beard tho!!

and update guys: everyone on this thread makes up .5% of the total applicant pool!!! hahahahahaha and thts with taking a conservative 6000 number for total rea apps

@killbeefgoham its a standard email with heading like “Your Stanford Admissions Decision” or something with no hint and when you read it, you will know by the first few words… i just wished stanford did through accounts and stuff…

@Aigese yes haha i do…college schedule i also get 3 months of summer break lololol. actually im not sure u would wanna take my schedule. i got finals this week (semes by semes schedule) and its the last semester that counts for my GPA and rank so imma need to clutch up and kill them haha. but yea after friday its gonna feel good cause ill have two weeks JUST for digesting my stanford decision (probs a rejection haha) and working on my other big name schools apps!

anyone here applying to any 8 year BS/MD programs?

yea i think that that would be beneficial to use the list and copy and paste the latest one into every post and just add your decision after you get it.

matrixsurgeon: …I honestly don’t know whether I prefer your schedule or mine. Your exams suck, but then again, I have a bunch of essay due dates next week that can make or break my diploma. How about don’t do either, and we stay home forever.

At this moment, I am actually panicking with a friend over email about decisions. Fun times.

@aegise i agree with ya on staying home! i think that one time, a generation should have a country wide high school senior year strike or something on a certain day or something hahah… nah im just kidding! and wow goodluck to your friend!! (and to u too if u are recieving a decision too!)

That’s going to be terrible. My phone shows the text of my latest email in the notification bar, and I’ll see it as soon as I check my notifications. I wish there was a warning of some sort, because I’ll see the decision with no prompting whatsoever and I don’t think I’ll be ready

Yeah. It shows the mail icon at the top of the screen, then when you drag the top bar down it shows the first couple of paragraphs of the email :(

i have teh same problem… my advice (which is waht im also doing): Friday im kinda isolating myself from my phone and it’s updates (ill probs just turn off data) throughout the day and checking it on my computer at home. i would hate to find out thru my phone…

anyone have decided their “pregame” ritual yet? its something my friends from last year called it. at the onset of their first college decision, you decide upon a “ritual” or thing that you do as you check your results and you continue that throughout all your other decisions, no matter when or where they are from. my ritual will probs as of now look like this: around 30 minutes before the decision, lock the door, retreat to my bed/sofa in my room and have my great headphones in my ears JAMMING my pregame music tracks. my ritual is that im gonna have a specific song for each of the colleges im applying to. and starting on the time that decisions come out, ill keep repeating that song until i find out my result…

wat do you guys think? goodluck factor maybe? haha

That’s awesome. I think I’ll probably be doing the same thing, but in my head. I’ll be at school when the results come out, so I’ll have to check there or wait… I’m probably not gonna be able to wait.

@redsnow you live in the west coast or close to there? I live in east coast so i won’t get my decision till like 6 here and ill be at home well before then lololol.

im thikning of doing the song “Coming Home” by Diddy for stanford cause the title kinda seems fitting in a way to what i want: a stanford acceptance and i like consider northern cal my co-second home!

I’m probably just gonna play through every single Muse album starting from when I get home until I get the email, music always takes my mind off things and Muse is amazing
