Has anyone tried this book AP U.S. & Comparative Government & Politics (REA) - The Best Test Prep for th e A: 8th Edition?

AP U.S. & Comparative Government & Politics REA - The Best Test Prep for th e A: 8th Edition: Amazon.ca: Mr. Keith Mitchell, R. F Gorman, J. Hamilton: Books

The Ethel Wood study guide looks a lot more pricey and this one has both US and Comp.

With the only reviews being one 2-star review and three 1-star reviews, I wouldn’t recommend it. I don’t really see the Ethel Wood study guide being “a lot more pricey” (it’s a few bucks more, and you can get it used for about $5 at some sites), so I’d spend the extra money to get the guide that will actually help.

i self-studied w/ wood’s and got a 5. definitely get it

Ethel Wood study guide is actually a lot more expensive in the Canadian Amazon site. Seriously, Canadians don’t have as many choices when buying studying guides (I pretty much limit myself to the Canadian Amazon site because they have free shipping) because of the extra shipping fees and the conversion rate.

Nevermind, I’ll just assume that [Mrs. Wood’s classes](http://phs.prs.k12.nj.us/ewood/) is the online version and I’ll use that instead.

Is the ethel wood US Government book any good? I tried searching amazon.ca and nothing good came out (they were all really old editions)

There’s a decent amount of information on that site from the book, but it’s outdated (Iran and Nigeria are now countries on the test, and France has been removed), and there are no practice tests from what I could see.

Also, I couldn’t even find the current version of the Ethel Wood guide (for comparative government) on the Canadian Amazon (the third edition), so you would have had to buy it from the American Amazon anyway.

Finally, I still suggest paying the premium to purchase the Ethel Wood guide if you’re not taking a class or can’t purchase a used textbook for a cheaper price.

yeah… amazon.ca is so much more limited and there are rarely reviews (so I learned to check the reviews on amazon.com).

International shipping is like 13 US dollars so that’s like pricey.

Maybe I could just read the 5 countries on the online guide (did the content of the test change, or just the countries?) and go read a textbook at a library for Iran and Nigeria.
