Reach, Match, or Safety

Hey guys, could you help me with putting the following colleges in the reach, match, or safety category.
Johns Hopkins, Duke, Case Western, Rutgers(I am from NJ), Drexel, Temple, Vanderbilt, NYU, Northwestern, BU, WUSTL, Baylor, and Carnegie Mellon.
Also if I apply ED/EA, will my chances for any of these schools increase?

Here are my stats:
Unweighted GPA: 3.6
Weighted GPA: 3.9-4.0
SAT I: 2050/1380 Math+CR (Going to retake in October. Hoping for 2250+)
ACT Composite: 31
SAT II: not retaking any
Bio: 660 (self-studied)
Math II:750
US History: 750
I have good recs.

Extracurriculars:
Track and Field since sophomore year
Pre Med Club since Jr year
Math Honor Society since jr year.
30+ hrs community service: all done in the summer of junior year
Attended a medicine and health care conference in DC for 10 days.

Drexel and Temple are safeties… kids from my school get in with like, 1700s on their SAT. I think one area you could have improved on was ECs. Obviously you have more than the typical student, but the more elite colleges may want more. Good luck, and apply anyway. You never know, colleges like to take chances on people sometimes.

From what you have listed so far:

JHU: High Reach
Duke: High Reach
Case Western: Don’t know enough about it to comment
Rutgers: Safety
Temple: Safety
Vanderbilt: High Reach
NYU: Depends on school (high match/low reach)
BU: Match
Northwestern: High Reach
WUSTL: High Reach
Baylor University: Low Match/Safety
Carnegie Mellon: Reach

Keep in mind these are in terms of admission, not finances. You should check out the net pice calculators for each of these colleges as some such as NYU and BU are not known for giving out a large amount of aid. Knowing whether your family would be able to afford these colleges is essential. You have strong SAT IIs and a decent GPA, however, nothing particularly stands out in our ECs besides that you may be interested i medicine. To raise your chances to your, you need to raise your standardized test scores and write killer essays, because I don’t think there is anything you can do about your ECs senior year (unless you are elected captain or an officer position). Good luck!

Thanks guys!!
Anyone else have any opinions. What about for schools like Notre Dame, Berkeley, Wake Forest, U of M-Ann Arbor, and Vanderbilt?

Also if I apply to Drexel’s 7 year med program do you think I could get in?

bumppp

Accelerated med programs are very competitive, regardless of its parent institution. The acceptance rates are incredibly low.

I’d really doubt you could get into it. Many of the kids that apply have hospital/clinical experience through volunteering or internships.

Yeah I didn’t think I’d get in either. Anyone else? Bumppp

And what about the University of Pittsburgh? Do you think I have a chance at the honors program there?

byumppppppppp
