Reach, target (50-50), or likely?

I really need some honest opinions on if I can get into Northeastern University because it is my #1 choice. I'm applying to Northeastern University early action.

Academics:

I have a 3 year culmulative GPA of 2.96, but in junior year alone, I got a 3.4 or 3.5 GPA. Although, I'm not in any AP or honors classes

I got a 27 composite on the ACT

Extracurricular Activities:

By the end of senior year, I will have done 4 years of lacrosse, 4 years of wrestling and 3 years of football.

I have done the Midnight Run which is a community service organization and will have done it for 4 years at end of this school year.

I was a golf caddy at a country club in the summer before the school year started which I will say in my application

I'm just wondering why you post the exact same thread multiple times.

I'm trying to get opinions from as many people as possible and i'm going a little paranoid because Northeastern University is the only college i want to go to

Reach!

......

Don't spam, it's rude

I think its a reach. Maybe you should take the ACT again or take the SAT

i would retake the sats if i were you. good ecs, though.

Everything looks good for you except for the GPA, but I would say that the upward trend helps you alot. I would say a reach... but with in reach. Good Luck.

hey everybody, I got into Northeastern University

why did you have to reply to all of your threads? I don't think you got in.

yeah but i did get into northeastern university. specifically, i got into the College of Business Administration at northeastern university.

im just saying thats doubtful. I mean i know some kids with 3.6 GPAs with mostly AP classes and 1850 SAT and 28 ACT who got deferred. You're stats just don't match up.

i know what you mean. the reason why i posted so many threads is because I myself was not entirely sure if i would get in because of my stats compared to the stats of the average northeastern student. It just goes to show everyone that i overcame the odds

im sorry but i don't believe you. Your stats are just way too low. I think by saying you got in, you are trying to feel better about yourself that you got deferred or rejected.

since you still don't believe me, i will post what they said on my NU portal:

Brian Whyte

You could have copied that from anywhere. I still express doubt that you got accepted. You have by far the worst stats i have seen in a candidate for early action. If you look at the people who got deferred, they have way better stats than you. i can't comprehend why they would accept you.

can you please just hating on me and please be happy for me because I got into my #1 choice, Northeastern University

maybe they accepted me because of my extracurriculars and my college essay and for the fact that i raised my grades and i go to scarsdale high school which is known to be a very difficult high school

im sorry but i just can't be happy for you. You are underqualified and undeserving.

fine screw you because it is not worth convincing you, i mean what college are you going to.
