Why do people who know they have amazing stats, I'm talking about 1450/2200 + kids with 3.7+ gpas and endless amounts of great ECs still act as if they have 1100s and 2.5s, you obviously thought you had a chance of getting in so don't be trivial and make all of us on the lower end of the spectrum want to beat ourselves up while you gloat when we say that you're shoe ins!

^ Seconded. =)

i definitely agree too

I hate seeing chances thread from people with 4.0 uw and 2375 SAT/35 ACT with great ecs and leadership positions...thats just ridiculous

I know I'm not applying here but I feel this a lot. I mean if you're appplying somewhere that is really a huge reach, it really ticks you off if these people are being really overdramatic. I mean cc has an ultra high acceptance rate, far above the average for like every single school. It really makes us people feel bad if someone who is perfect is acting like a cc is their only option :p

i totally agree..!!
although i suppose you cant blame them, because theyre prolly just nervous..
but the problem is, they have NO REASON to be, and THATS whats really annoys me. it's like walking out of an exam hall KNOWING that you'd definitely failed the test, and having to listen to all the smartypants people go: "oh no oh no, i'm gonna failll..!" when theyre really not
