I've been around these forums for a while and I finally decided to become a member. For the reading comprehension part of the SAT, does anyone have any tips? I seem to do well on other areas on SAT but have some difficulties with the reading comprehension...

For the reading comprehension reading books can help but using logic is most important. There are many answers that may sound right or be infact true but if the answer is not explicitly stated in the passage or is not paraphrased then that answer is false.

What is the best strategy to do the type of questions which resemble "What does this passage imply about..." or very general type of questions? Is there a specific way to do them?

-For anything for word definition "On line 12, credit most nearly means"..., just sub in the choices in place of whatever is currently there. Whatever makes sense is the right answer...that helped me out.
-For anything with two passages, read the intro and the first passage. Answer the first passage questions. Then, read the second passage, and answer the P2 and P1/P2 questions.
-For some critical readings, there is more than one good answer. Read it slowly, find the candidates, and decide which is better.

The critical reading is one of my weak points also. Just take it slow, read it, find potential answers, and pick the best one.
