Reading periods...

Do they police on how you spend the "reading period" on AP tests? Last year, for AP Macro, I used my "reading period" for only planning my graphs out etc., but I'm not sure if they allow you to start writing your essays during that time. I will be taking:

AP Bio
AP Microeconomics
AP Lang / Comp
AP US History

Do they monitor your time planning out essays, or can you just start whenever? Thanks!

Anybody?

I’m taking macro this year but I have taken other social studies courses and if the “reading period” is anything like the other social studies (world and US) then usually you are allowed to only read the documents and depending on the test administrator you may be allowed to write on the documents and start planning out your essay. As far as planning out your essay you can start the second they say that you can start reading documents. You can even start planning out your other essay responses. The only thing you are not allowed to do is start writing any of your essays.

Yeah, I heard the US History’s is mandatory, but my AP Lang teacher told me that you can start your essays whenever. I don’t know what’s going on O_o…
