Has anyone tried (or is it common SAT technique) to read a long or short passage based reading section multiple times (2-5) EVEN before you start answering the questions? Does anyone know if this would increase your number of correct answers while answering the questions?
Thanks

well i first read at once
the, while attempting the question, i read 2-3 times again
perhaps time consuming
but, i have no diff. idea
althought, I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO RAISE MY SCORE

well this is from barrons

they say to mark the questions that focus on certain sentences and then answer them as you read by (read the complete idea)

When I took the SAT, I scanned it really fast, went to the questions, answered all the ones that only deal with one line (which is most of them). Then I went back and looked for the answers to harder ones. Many of the questions will be something like "The word "hfisfnj" as it appears in line 14 is closest in meaning to which of the following?"...reading the passage 5 times won't help you answer those questions.

But everyone does it a little differently and that's why it's good to take practice tests. Take a bunch trying some different techniques and see which yields the best result for you. Then, take even MORE tests to practice and improve the best technique.
