Can anyone tell me how long the orientation realistically takes? I know they say be there by 7:30 and done by 9. But is this true?!? Will I really be there almost 14 hours?? Someone who has gone through it please fill me in.

what the hell. orientation is like 3 days long lol.

Well it’s 3 days, but if you take out all the exploring, bonding, ice breakers, etc, etc… I dunno…
To me, orientation consists of all the workshops and class scheduling AND the meeting new people part… So 3 days :)

but if you don’t think this way… it varies from person to person… some people do not have to take placement tests (since they got placed out) and I think the counseling is different by college… Since engineers have different requirements compared to someone doing letters and sciences… yup…

maybe hes talking about transfer orientation but i thought that ended in the evening and not late night?

Will there be sufficient time to aimlessly stroll around campus on our own?

How much free time is there? If I’m taking a class, I won’t be too busy to get to a lecture, right?

Yea sorry I forgot to mention it was for transfers.

Going to 1 day orientation for transfer students. Does anyone know exactly what time it is over. I am tring to schedule flight times.

Thanks

the transfer orientation is from 730 am to 9 pm. Transfers get to sign up for classes at 8 pm… but that depends on which orientation you are attending.

Are you serious? What the he11 do you do for 12 hours before you sign up?

activities, meet people, have a full tour of the campus, meet with counselors, have lunch, etc. etc. lol

haha o good lord. What an action packed day. Is it easy to register for classes or should I bring my laptop?

you should bring your laptop so u can see the schedule as it is updated and also, you sign up online. Im definately bringing mine
