So I have to go to orientation next week as a transfer. I'm confused though why it says I have to be there at 7:30am? Is it possible to arrive just whenever I want to as long as it's before a certain time later? I'm not exactly sure what we're doing, but I've seen ridiculous stories , such as that this thing lasts from 7:30am to 9pm. What can we possibly have to do for that long? I've been here for over a month now for summer classes so being given a 14 hour tour of the campus and then only at the very end of the day being allowed to sign up for classes sounds like total BS to me :P
I'm only going because the counselors tell me I have to in order to straighten out my major(need to switch it). Although I consider it important to go for that, I just don't see what justifies them making me do a bunch of activities for 14 LONG hours. Starting from that early in the morning it really sounds like it could get stressful(for me especially though because apartment live hasn't made it easy to maintain a healthy lifestyle when it comes to sleep).

Do I really have to be there that early until that late?
