Real SAT vs BB and OC difficulty?

Did you guys find that the difficulty of the questions in the BB, BB2 and online course are the same as the difficulty of the real SAT? (Or past papers?)

In other words, can I expect to do as well on the real test as I do on BB tests? (Test day pressure, etc notwithstanding)

There’s not a big difference. I thought the math on the real test was a bit harder than the math in the BB.

Psychologically, though, the difference can be huge.

psychologically, in what way?

Test stress, climate, uncomfortable chairs, clock ticking, and scratching pencil sounds of other test-takers

The psychological effect can work both ways. The stress makes some people get nervous and underperform, but it makes other people more focused and helps their minds work more efficiently.

For me, the stress made it so I would go back and triple check and quadruple check every answer. Even if I thought that I was finished, I went back and checked again and again.

Practice tests are sometimes harder. Don’t bank on it though.

Haha, I think the stress helped me. I was doing pretty bad on the practice tests, but on the official test, I managed to jump roughly 100 points!

I think my mind was more focused on the actual exam because inside my head, I knew that’s the one that mattered and didn’t blank out on the CR passages
