realistic?

I took the SAT in december and scored a 1730 (10 essay)...I went into this test without any studying or prep just to see what my base score would be, I hadn't even taken a full practice test before. I'm a junior, so I have plenty of time to improve. Anyways, my goal is to break 2000 at the least. I'm planning to get a private tutor over the summer and take the SAT one last time in october. Do you think that I can realistically break a 2000 with tutoring and studying?

ya...i went from a 1850 first practice test to a 2230 real SAT

Yes. I highly, highly recommend private tutoring. Make sure your goal is absolutely clear to your tutor, and try your absolute best to get specalizing in SAT/ PSAT prep. A little pep story: I took the PSAT as a sophomore, and then three days before my junior year PSAT sat down with my regular maths tutor and re-worked the maths section. My score in maths went up 31 percentiles.

phew that makes me feel better! thanks everyone

Very Possible
I went from my 1st practice test of 1440 and I scored a 2040 on Jan 2007 SAT

I went from 1600s to 2100s.
