On the Webster U. website for the Musical Theater Auditions, I found this referring to the singing portion for off-campus auditioners:

“Off-campusauditioners should present their vocal selections with taped accompaniment. Off-campus auditioners must additionally provide a cassette tape containing two musical selections of contrasting nature. This tape will be submitted to the musical theatre faculty for their evaluation.”

When they say “the additional cassette tape”, is that suggesting that they want a recording of me singing the songs on a tape? If so, do they want the full version, or the cuts we make to the music?

My sons auditioned on campus, so I am unable to answer this question. I would drop Webster an email to clarify this so you know firsthand what is specifically meant.

FYI, freedom_fri911 also posted this question on the main forum. He later (October 1st) posted on that main forum thread (Reply #4) the answer he had been looking for. Here it is:

I got this email back from Carrie Indelicato:

Robert,
Thank you for inquiring with Webster University. You will need to bring two CD's or tapes with you to audition off campus. One for your accompaniment and one with you singing either the entire song or the 16 measures you perform for your audition. Whichever is more convenient for you. We require the CD with your singing on it to bring back to our audition panel at the home campus.
