(I’m sorry for posting this up again, but onlya few ppl
gave me straightforward answers.)

Penn is interested in people who want Penn as their first choice.

If you can credibly explain why so are so interested in Penn, your chances would improve.

So: why Penn?

Fine, I won't mock, here is my serious answer:

80%

I'm being dead serious too :(

I guess the 4 out of 5 doctors shall return another day.

Your chances are pretty good. Apply ED.

My counselor made an interesting comment to me when he said that for the top students, there are no match schools. There are reach schools and there are safety schools. For applicants like yourself, you seem like you'd be a desirable candidate. However, there are thousands of kids out there like you, and they'll all be applying to the same selective schools as you. So you see, no one can really consider an Ivy or one of the other top schools (MIT, Duke, etc) a match school because there's no telling who will get in. So basically it's really difficult for people like us.

If you really really are set on Penn, definitely do apply ED. That's probably the best way to increase your chances.
