<p>Depends on how low (GPA). And it also depends on how high (SAT)</p>

<p>For instance, if it’s 3.0 GPA and 2350 SAT, you may have decent shots.
But it if’s 2.5 GPA and 2000 SAT, you don’t get good chances for top schools.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, most colleges say that “high grades can make up for low SATs, but high SATs can’t make up for low grades.”</p>

<p>not necessarily…it might at some schools, esp. some lesser known public schools that struggle with yield</p>

<p>check out the 3.0-3.3 parents thread…there are a number of kids on there with low GPA but high SAT/ACT that are attending good schools…</p>
