I have an on-campus interview coming up, and I'm nervous. Should I bring a resume? What should I wear?

Dress casually, but nicely. Jeans and a nice shirt/polo will do great. These interviews are about getting to know you. They are also for you to learn more about Rice.

Do not stress! The interview is very relaxed.

Some people like to have mock interviews first – to get a feel for the process. Maybe a family friend or teacher could run through a few questions with you.

Also, you might want to think about a question or two to ask at the interview.
[“Any Questions?”: The Final College Interview Question](http://www.getintocollegeblog.com/2009/09/college-interview-any-questions.html)

I didn’t interview for Rice, but at the interviews I had I always tried to ask questions about my interviewer’s personal experiences at their school. They love those questions because (1) it lets them reminisce, (2) people love it when others are interested in them, (3) it shows them that you understand that you can only learn so much from a college guidebook, and (4) it gives you some seriously good information and potential talking points later on.

Don’t be nervous at all, I thought I would die before my first couple interviews (I interviewed for Middlebury, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth Brown [phone] in that order) but I came out just fine. Once you start a conversation it’s really easy and fun to keep going.

Don’t worry. I had an interview 1.5 weeks back and it was very relaxed. She just asked what i did in the summer, my interests, and what activities i do in school. They may ask you why u are choosing the major that you are. good luck :)

Relax. They are very casual and one on one conversations.
- Be prepared to talk about yourself in few sentences. Come up with 3-5 words that describe you and be able to elaborate in a sentence or two. To tell them who are
- Come up with your interests and goals. Explain in few sentences. To tell them what you want to achieve
- Ask how Rice can help in reaching to you goals. What rice can offer? To find out How Rice will Fit in your future
- Research about Rice and ask about anything you want to know more about To show that you are interested in Rice
Good Luck

Should I bring a resume?

No.

Also, keep the two threads separate. You already have a post about interviews.
