Really want to go to Vanderbilt, Chances?

Hey guys, I really want to go to vanderbilt but i'm not sure about my chances.

heres some stats:

PA resident
93.5/100 GPA thats around a 3.7 Unweighted i believe...Correct me if i'm wrong. I did:93-100=4, 90-93=3.6666 and 87-90=3.3333

33 composite ACT with 11 on writing portion
2090/2400 SAT, 670 reading,670 writing, and 750 math(probably not gonna submit)

good essays and decent extracurriculars(clubs, lots of volunteering, music)
pretty sure ill be getting good recommendations

So what are my chances? Is it a reach?

Thanks!

feel free to ask for more info!!!

Gpa: 4-a, 3-b, 2-c, 1-d

well, my issue is i’m not exactly sure what an “a” is.

I hear it could be 90-100, 95-100 or 93-100.

A 33 is not in the top quartile this year at Vanderbilt which is pretty amazing --as stats have really altered in the last five years.

That said, many people are at Vandy with that ACT, why not you?

Don’t worry about your grades anymore. It doesn’t matter…the adcoms can figure it out in context with your high school description. Focus on what you can control…your first semester grades plus essays and references.

You are only a match applicant to Vandy just like most everyone else in the middle range of applicants so put your heart into your essays and get things square with your references…explain Why Vandy to them!

Good luck…you should be happy with your high school record…never only focus on one college though…there are other colleges as wonderful at Vandy that would recruit you.

wishing you open doors and good wishes
