Really Young Graduate Student- Advice on Housing and Still Having a Social Life

Hi Guy! Let first just say that this is a fantastic community, couldn't imagine going to school without it!

I am looking for some advice on housing though, I just got accepted to the School of Cinematic Arts Film Production program, as a graduate student. I am only 20 years old, finished undergrad early. There are very limited options though for graduate housing, most places are a ways off campus, and do not seem to be very social. Which is something that is still important to me. I have sent in my application for housing already, but I can still make changes to my preferences. My only on-campus choices as a grad student are the Parkside Apartments and the International Parkside College Residence. They are my top two choices, with the Parkside Apartments being first. I chose them first because they have a single studio with it's own kitchen and bathroom which I really like. I would be a little worried about being with a lot of international students at IRC, but I hear there are mostly regular students. Which do you guys think I would like better? Should I switch their positions around? Also I spoke with housing over the phone and they said if there's space they'll consider me for other undergraduate properties. I marked down a few random ones on my preferences, but anyone have any advice in that regard?

Don't really want to be in a place with families or 30 year olds and still want to have a social life and be able to take advantage of the great one that USC has to offer. Any advice in this regard would be appreciated. See you all on campus this fall!!! :)

From what I know of, Parkside Apartments actually has the real international students, whereas PIRC is more of a 2nd generation type of atmosphere. PIRC has a majority freshman community though, so if you don't think you can handle that go for the apartments.

One important thing to note is that the PIRC has A/C whereas the apartments do not. Another key point is that you hava REQUIRED mealplan that costs around $2400/semester if you choose to live in PIRC. You do not have a required mealplan if you opt to live in the apartments.
