<p>I was waitlisted last week. I have been reading articles on waitlists and have read that kids that can pay have a significant advantage on those that cannot. I am not wealthy so and have applied for aid. Is this going to hurt me?</p>

with need-blind in this economy the college uses the waitlist to get $$</p>
<p>In general, even colleges that are need-blind in ED and RD admissions are not need-blind in admitting students from the wait list or as transfers.</p>
<p>Many are though. And I do know this from personal experience.</p>
