Reapply as freshmen

Is it possible that I could apply as a freshmen? I've attended college for a year and a half but the last semester I was dismissed on academic grounds. I know I can go to cc and get my GPA up but can I just reapply as a freshmen because I don't even have that MANY credits. Or would I get in trouble?

You need to look at each college website to see who must apply as a transfer. For some schools it’s as little as 1 post-HS college class, for others it’s the number of credits, for others it’s less than a year of post-HS college.

With a year and a half it’s highly unlikely that you can apply as a fr, but depending on your number of units, you MIGHT qualify at some schools that have credit limits. Remember, it’s the number of credits you TOOK, not the number you passed or that will transfer that counts when determining whether you can apply as a fr or transfer.

Yes, you absolutely need to follow the college policies for how to apply, you are required to send transcripts for all previous college enrollments when you apply as a fr or transfer. If you don’t, they will find you here:
