Reapply to UVA? (Spring Transfer)

Hi,

I applied to UVA as a transfer for the fall semester and got wait listed then rejected. I was wondering whether I should reapply again to UVA for the spring semester. I'd apply to CAS for an Economics Major.

Here are my Stats:

I'm a Rising Sophomore, Econ major at a NY School
H.S GPA: 3.7 Weighted
College GPA: 3.61
SAT/ACT Scores: 1940
SAT II Scores: 720 U.S Hist.
Significant ECs: A lot of Business ECs with Leadership Positions, 3 Finance Internships (1 at Hedge Fund, 1 at Major Insurance Company, 1 at Merrill Lynch)

Any input is appreciated. Thank you.

If you have the time/money to apply, go for it. My best advice to anyone is “if you don’t apply, you have a 100% chance of being rejected” and “you can’t say no if you don’t apply”

I hear they don’t take many transfers <3.8 gpa for spring- I wish I could cite this source but it’s not coming to me right now. They are HIGHLY selective and only admit about 40-50 students for spring transfers. I got rejected in the spring with much lower stats than yourself, but I tried again in the Fall and was accepted. If you get rejected, perhaps wait another semester? I was in love with UVA and that decision was a no-brainer.
