Reasonable score increase.....

man this was my first time taking the SAT and I got a 1810....
590 CR
590 Math
630 Writing
This was however my first time taking it with almost no studying. I studied only the test format briefly before taking it. I plan to actuall study for it the next time around. Do you think if I seriously study I can raise an 1810 to a 2000-2100? What are reasonable score increases that u guys have seen?

You can definitely do it. I got an 1880 the first time like you without studying and with some practice with the blue book I got a 1410/2070 the next time I took it.

You can definitely do it. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

You can do it for sure.

I went from 1750 --> 1900.

Who knows where my 1900 will go to ---> ?

yea you can do it for sure. just to gauge i went from a 1740 to a 2050 by taking 8 practice tests (5 blue book, 3 online course)

I second everyone else :D

You can do it for sure if you put the time into doing more practice tests. Everytime you do one though, don't just go over your wrong answers, but the answers you guessed on as well. That way, you know when you're thinking what the College Board wants you to think and when you've gone off track. Also, don't wait a day or two to go over your answers. Go over them when you're done grading so they're still fresh in your mind.

Personally, the first time I took one I got a 1990, and I went up to a 2210 for the last June SAT. Planning on retaking to try for a 2300+

For a freshman with a 1710, what would be reasonable to expect in terms of increases? Does everyone generally increase from year to year?

OCT 05 - I took a practice (unofficial) SAT that my school offers in the 10th grade and got a 1610.

JUN 07 - First official SAT at the end of 11th and I got a 2180.

I didn't practice at all until two weeks before the June 07 exam. During those two weeks, I went through the Blue Book, Princeton Review, and McGraw-Hill; the first week I took 7 untimed tests and the second week I took 7 timed tests. Make sure you go over every answer right after taking the practice test.

Also, don't waste too much time on the PR strategies and whatnot (especially that Joe Blogs nonsense).

I went from a 160 PSAT sophmore year to 2000 June SAT
