Reasoning or Subject Tests?

I want to take the SAT one more time before applying to college, so I've signed up for the one in January. Will colleges even see scores from that test or will it be too late?

The main question I have, though, is whether I should take the SAT Reasoning again or the Subject tests. My scores thus far are:

Reading: 800
Math: 750
Writing: 720
Total: 2270

Literature: 790
American History: 660 (sigh)

Should I focus on improving my SAT writing score or take some more subject tests so they don't focus on the 660?

Don't retake reasoning, that'd be foolish. Get one or two more good SAT II scores.

I got an 8 on the essay though, and I was under the impression that that is mediocre... I know that I can do much better a second time, I just blanked out on the essay last time.

Anyone else have any thoughts?
