Rec Letter?

<p>Hi,
I'm applying to Whitman this year and am very confused on the rec letter guidelines. On Whitman's website, its says rec letters from professors, counselors, teachers, advisors, etc. However on the application checklist, it says ONE teacher evaluation is required. Is that the same thing as a rec letter?
I guess my question is: How many rec letters do we need, and who can they be from?</p>

<p>Hi Caitlin, you need 2 letters: 1 from your college counselor (or advisor) and 1 from a teacher (or professor) of an academic subject. In this case, the evaluation is the same as a rec. As you start filling out the Common Ap, what you need for each college will be clear.</p>
