Rec letters

Hi,
my teacher just let me read his rec letter and i was very happy with it.
but i mean, don't really know how rec letters should look like.
it's a page long, but it has a lot of specifics.
is it too short?
what is the usual length of a rec letter?

anyone??? I could really use an advice
thanks

MIT describes what it considers to be good, bad, and indifferent recommendation letters here: [MIT Admissions | Info For Schools & Counselors: Writing Evaluations](http://www.mitadmissions.org/topics/schools/writing_evaluations/index.shtml)

Quality, not quantity. The first example on the page CalAlum provided is half a page long when I copy and paste it in, so I wouldn’t worry about the length of yours anyway :)
