Wondering which AP and AICE classes do not count towards your UF GPA. Specifically wondering about:
AP Human, AP Psych, AP comp sci, AP, Enviro, AICE Marine, AICE BIZ (A&AS) , AICE Travel and Tourism, AICE Sociology.
All of those should count (at UF), with the possible exception of “Travel and Tourism”, But I took a quick look at the course description and it looks like it would also count (if I had to guess).
All AP, IB, AICE classes count towards the recalculated GPA.
Hi. So how do you calculate dual enrollment classes? Is it just the core classes or are all classes taken added with a plus 1? My daughter has 50 dual enrollment credits. Wide range in topics such as college algebra to career decision making.
@funfit - you only count core academic classes - math, english, science, social science, foreign language. You don’t look at the total number of semester credits just high school units. so if college algebra was a semester length course and the student received an A then it would be 2.25 grade points and .5 units. if it was an entire year course it would be 4.5 grade points and 1 unit.
Is dual enrollment credits 5.0 grade points or 4.5? College algebra is a dual class so I thought it would be 5.0
