Hey, im getting all my recs and stuff straight to apply ED. I have two main questions.

1) What address do i send the paper forms (teacher recs, counselor recs, etc.)? I am applying online but will submit teacher recs and stuff on paper of course. I need to know so I can address the envelope and get the rec forms to my teachers. It would be a big help if someone knows the exact address.

2) If my teachers mail in the reccomendation before i submit the Duke supplement or common app is that ok? Will the admissions office hang on to it and wait for my app or should I tell my teacher not to submit the rec until after I have submitted my app online. Thanks

1). The admissions office can take those. Make sure your school knows that that your name and SSN needs to be on every piece of paper that is mailed in. The address of the admissions office is:

2). You should have already submitted your supplement way before your submit your main application. In fact, you need to in order to have an alumni interview if you are submitting your app around the deadline of nov 1. If you aren't planning to do this, then I would highly recommend it.

IIRC, the supplement is the document that Duke uses to open a file for you, you should probably get that in before your other stuff gets there. Given that teachers usually take a couple of weeks (in the case of my high school) to write rec, I wouldn't be too worried. But if you think there's a chance it'll get there before the supp, I would do the supp quickly. It's only a few blanks and maybe one or two short essays you shouldn't be having lots of trouble with it.

Thanks for the help. Yeh, this year the Duke supplement is due by October 19. I have already asked my teachers to write the recs, and they were like "yes of course" so now I just have to get them the forms. I guess I will write my Why Duke and submit it ASAP.

Also, Duke now uses the common app teacher rec forms, correct? They no longer use their own. Thanks
