Received a full tuition scholarship. Should I attend?

My situation: I have been accepted to Washington State University and I'd receive a scholarship from them that would cover all my tuition and fees at the university.

I really wanted to go to UW Seattle this year and I'm still thinking about transferring there, but I also want to attend law school and several people warned me that, when you transfer, the transition will be a lot harder and I also didn't know that my grades won't transfer from a community college to a university - just the credits would.

I am a Running Start student by the way so I could just stay at my CC, finish up my AA and then go to UW - or, if I don't get in, go to WSU.

My parents want me to decide for myself, however, I just don't know what to do.

I don't want to not transfer and later regret my decision but I also don't know if it would have a lot of disadvantages when I'd stay at my CC.
I wanted to take the LSAT in June of my junior year but if I'd really have only one-two years to get stellar grades and would also have to excel the LSAT...

Honestly, I'm really concerned that it will be hard for me to adjust after transferring.
My main concern is really if I will be able to get a high GPA after transferring.

I really, really need to hear some people's opinions and experiences on this!

how hard can transferring be? you will have everything paid for. if you had to get a job and pay bills, I may agree with you. the fact that your grades dont transfer is a good thing. It means you have the opportunity to start over with your GPA.

however, for law school, the LSDAS considers all your grades. so your GPA at the end of University will be different than the LSDAS GPA. for example, at my school I failed two classes, but they have a forgiveness policy. so, I retook the classes and was able to wipe away the two Fs. my GPA is a 3.53 however, for the LSDAS my gpa is somewhere around 3.2 or something. I am transferring to American University (maybe) and I would start off with a new GPA as well. considering how I’m doing in school now… I may end up with a 3.8-3.9 graduating GPA… but my LSDAS score would be much lower.

just do it. everyone needs to go away to college

@ Agentsoapbox,

Thank you! I visited the school and it just didn’t really fit me so I’ll stay at my community college, finish up my AA and then transfer to another 4-year university.
Do you think it is possible to get a stellar GPA in your junior year, directly after transferring?
Maybe I’m just super paranoid but a lot of people have been telling me that the transition from a CC to a university is supposed to be pretty difficult.
