Received Admission email, International, Aid?

I'm an international applicant just received an admission email.

The email included a phrase saying that if I didn't check the apply for financial aid option in the application form, i wouldn't be considered for need-based financial aid.

I did check the option. does this mean I'll be offered financial aid? Are they going to send the 2nd email for this matter?

Thanks!!! anxious!

i'm pretty sure stanford doesn't offer aid to internationals. that was definitely the case last year.

if so, why didn't email just say "no financial aid offered"? and some internationals already got financial offer this year.

really? well then they must've changed it this year..which means good news for you! you'll definitely know when you get your packet from stanford, which includes financial award letters. last year, stanford just flat out said that they do not offer aid to internationals

yes they definitely do. i checked my financial aid package on the account and it was good stuff.

Hi,
Are you a grad student admitted to the GSB?
If so, pls can you give me a brief outline of your profile (i.e. GMAT, experience, achievements, etc.)
Thanks a lot!

@perpetualmotion - please, please, please don’t say anything when you don’t know what you are talking about. Stanford has offered FA to internationals for years. It is just that they are not need-blind for internationals, meaning that they only have so much money. They meet the full need of all admitted - including internationals - but only admit the number of internationals they can fund. Seriously, so much mis-information on this entire site.
