Hello! Just wondering if anyone knows when the most recent pre-screens (as in within the past two weeks) will be evaluated? Is everyone still on break until the students return, or does the faculty still evaluate pre-screens during the recess?

Unfortunately the faculty at CCU is still predominately on break. The offices were only open on the 2nd and the 3rd and most of the faculty isn’t back yet. Although school isn’t back in session for another week, most of the faculty should be returning to “real life” on Monday and should begin evaluating the pre-screens again. I know we have quite a few pending, and they should be receiving news within the next week or two. If you are stressing about travel plans to be on campus, don’t hesitate to PM me and I can try and push your personal decision along. :)

Thanks AlexaMT! No rush, just wanted to make sure we didn’t miss anything (nervous about a couple of posts mentioning missed messages and pre-screen evals from last year).

I’m confused about programs who are already offering spots to students who auditioned in the last few months. If you’re already accepting students into your program - will there be any room for students who don’t audition until the Chicago Unifieds?

An extremely small number of students are accepted in the fall semester. Often times no one is accepted out right in the fall whatsoever. Most students who we auditioned in the November were “deferred” and won’t receive their final decisions until March after all of our auditions have been completed (that includes Chicago Unifieds). You’ll find this is the case for most programs.

I provided “technical support” to my daughter when she posted her video screening audition, so I want to make sure we did everything properly. It was submitted on January 5, and I’m not sure how that overlapped with the semester’s start. Should we still use Jan. 5 as the starting point for the approximate two-week turnaround for it to be reviewed?

We just started classes today, but the faculty has been reviewing pre-screens for about a week now. Two weeks is a good estimate, so if you don’t hear anything by next Monday go ahead and post again here and I can look into it for you!

AlexaMT, it was such a pleasure to meet you yesterday. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and especially your performance. CC was her number one before the audition and it’s now her number one squared!""

Aw! Thank you so much for your kind words here and on the audition day review. It means a lot when people enjoy their day and “got their moneys worth” so to speak. Best of luck to her D! I know the wait is annoying but everyone ends up where they are supposed to be in the end, and Mid-March is just around the corner. :)
