recieved my estimated financial aid satement today

I recieved $ 26,900 package, not too shabby... merit aid = $ 20,900

NICE! Congrats! I'm assuming you applied EA/ED?

Are you going to room and board?

Do you live near by, tri-State area or far away from Fordham?

good for you, okwjoe. We also received our FA package from Fordham and were not so lucky. Our out of pocket is FAFSA EFC + 35% (of EFC)...very disappointing. I figured there would be a gap but that's alot!

I live 30 miles way from campus, I got 50% of efc, 1/2 from work study, and half from an 3500 unsubsidized stafford loan

Fordham's merit aid was a joke for us compared to other colleges we have already heard from.

I am pretty sure that these numbers that Fordham sent are just estimates, the final numbers will be released in early April. Plus it said on my letter that this did not include the aid from Fordham just pell grant, stafford, work study, scholarships, and something for NY residents.

Yes, these are definitely estimates. We received the letter today..... "In response to your filing for an Early Action estimate for your financial aid package, we are pleased to send you these estimated awards." The letter also states that the final package will arrive in early April.

As of today, this is the lowest offer d has received with regard to scholarship money.

Well, in my letter it was also an estimate but it did mention the Deans Scholarship which is most generous I have recieved yet from any school, a small ( very small, less than 4,000.00 ) subsidized Stafford loan, and a even smaller work study award. and 250.00 in TAP.

mine said 8,000 loyola scholarship
and 600 "fordham C.B." (what's that?)

Since these are estimates, can the actual amount be higher, or (hopefully not) lower?
