I am really into The Sims and all the expansion packs, as well as Black & White. But I'm looking to "branch out" into other games. They don't necessarily have to be PC games, I've got a PS2 as well.

I'm a female, don't know if that's really relavent, but I'm not too interested in violent games.

Thanks.

Karaoke Revolution. I heard it does wonders to your morale when the crowd is cheering - a good way to start the morning.

Sims (2) is extremely addicting. I had to delete the game when I realized how many hours I wasted.

bust a move is fun. I don't know what they have it for, though - I only have Dreamcast

Bust-a-Groove is fun! (old old game) BaG2 is good too. (Dance game)

I liked Space Channel 5 too.

how about some old-fashioned chess?

lol i whipped asianboy's ass in chess! booya sucka

hey, i was playing under influence. you know im better :)

hahah sure sure, under the influence of chinese food and watching aladdin...if it makes you feel better, white girl beat me because i was also under the influence lol

Non violent PS2 game? Appealing to female gamer?

Try REZ.

Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn or Neverwinter Nights are good and sorta not violentish (look at some screenshots and you'll see how it doesn't really apply). Maybe take a shot at the Final Fantasy series. It's turn based and gives you a chance to think, which would help if you're not extremely used to trigger-hair response type games.

If you liked The Sims you'll probably enjoy The Sims 2 a LOT more. The graphics are incredible, and you have sooooooo much more options. Heck, the female sims actually get pregnant for a few days (lol) before giving birth and the kids look like their parents. and they have memories. my sim's memory was all 'got caught cheating got caught cheating got caught cheating.' hahahaha. Apparently when you 'WooHoo' you'll get caught cheating if you lover is on the lot...even if she's 1021372198 rooms away. I guess it gets noisy. lol o yea my Sim is a Business Tycoon and a helicopter picks him up for work. :)

What more can I say...Hmmm...you can do pretty messed up experiments w/ your sims...way more than in the original version. my son (now an adult) brad asked marisa bendett to move in, and after they did, he got her pregnant w/ twins. brad then got engaged to lucy hanby(yes that's the maid) and married her. less than an hour after the two were married, brad was caught 'woohoo-ing' w/ marissa. and uh, they divorced. their marriage lasted 1~2 hrs. interesting...thank god i didnt save the game.

I also personally recommend Civilization III if you like strategy games, and Call of Duty and Battlefield 1942 if you prefer shooters(not exactly non-violent, but fun nonetheless).

Female gamers rock! i'm one myself. :)

Starcraft. Can't go wrong there.

world of warcraft!

starcraft is old school

DDR, that's a good game, especially with friends.

I beat shoo in chess!! And since shoo beat asianboy, I have beaten him as well, meaning i have BEATEN ALL THE ASIANS of the area!!! bwahahahhahaha

i liked divine divinity
and planescape torment
and icewind dale
and the longest journey
and no one lives forever

btw-whats half life 2 like? is it worth buying?

sucharita: yes if you own a really good gaming computer. fyi, the intell video card equipted with many computers (like cruddy dells) doesnt work with half life 2.

Minimum Requirements: 1.2 GHz Processor; 256MB RAM; DirectX 7 level graphics card; Windows 2000/XP/ME/98; 4.5 GB of available Hard Drive Space; CD-ROM Drive; Mouse and Keyboard; Internet connection required
