Feel free to let me know if anyone has started a thread like this before. I was hoping that some current students or parents could mention some professors that they have heard are particularly interesting or spectacular.

if you are up for the work take the honors physics series, bickers is amazing though the class is both very fast paced and requires you to really do a lot of work.

how about some regular GE classes that we have to knock out?

i am an engineer so i don’t take cat 3 but i’ve heard for those that do take Astronomy, there are 2 professors for it i think but it is supposed to be good

Are there any suggestions for GE Category V: Arts and Letters? All of the courses seem really interesting from the course descriptions.

For Category III, I hear astronomy is good to take as well.

For Category IV, The Science of Human Performance (EXSC 205) is very, very popular, pretty much always fills up first.
I took Earthquakes (GEOL 240) with Prof. Sammis, its was pretty easy imo and a little more relevant to California. There are no papers, no essays, and no books to read. Only a field trip and an easy once a week lab.
