Hi guys, I have an international friend who is applying to UT Austin. Her school doesn’t really have college counselling but her teachers can write recommendation letters. Does the letters go to Apply Texas or the Document Uploader (UT Austin’s website said the uploader, but you can’t find a format there?) Anyone who has applied to UT Austin please help!

Once you get your my status account, there is a document uploader there. Scanning a letter into a pdf format worked for us.
Where do you find the letter format? Do you have to complete the application first? My friend’s super confused if you can explain some more that would be amazing!
Complete the application in applytexas. Within a day or two, UT gives you a my status account. In that account, you answer additional questions and you can upload you resume, letters of recommendation and other items.
If you are asking for a format for the letter writer, there isn’t one. They just write a letter telling about you and your personality and qualifications.

Letters of recommendations are not required so it doesn’t have to be any length. I would say a page to a page and a half is about right.
