Recommendation from college professor: teacher or other?

I am getting a recommendation from a college professor who guided me in my research over the last year or so. Am I better off setting up that recommendation as teacher or other? Setting it up as a teacher recommendation would mean that I have one fewer high school teacher writing a recommendation for me. But setting it up as other, may mean that the admissions committee attaches less weight to it. An additional consideration is that a few colleges allow only one teacher recommendation.

that would be an additional rec, since they did not teach you at your high school

It is definitely “other”.
