Recommendation letter from a Jesuit?

Hey, everyone. My godfather happens to be a Jesuit priest who knows a lot about Jesuit education, and he is really excited about me applying to Georgetown and another Jesuit school. He wants to write me a recommendation letter, but I'm not sure if that would be weird or not. He says he thinks he could have some influence in my admissions, but would Georgetown and similar schools find it strange considering recommendation letters are usually reserved for teachers? I would still be sending in recommendation letters from my teachers, but would it be a good idea to send in an extra from him? What do you think?

Thanks

Sending an extra letter or two is fine, as long as it is someone who knows you well (form letters from Congressmembers, signed by autopen, are worthless) and, ideally, can talk about you in a way that is not covered in the other recommendations or parts of the application. Any more than one or two extra and it becomes excessive, though.
