Recommendation letters

I go to a big, big, BIG school. I have 3 classes, two of which are taught my TAs ONLY (small classes with TAs). Do I -have- to get recommendation letters by a professor? My profs are rarely, if not never, going to have the opportunity to have a sit-down with me to be honest...and I want transfer letters of rec that aren't just "She is a nice student," you know? Would this be a huge problem to other colleges, though?

TA letters are fine. Sometimes the TA will collaborate with a prof, with the TA writing the bulk of the rec and the prof (or prof and TA) signing it. Sometimes it's just straight from the TA.

It's all okay.

If you have the opportunity to meet with profs in office hours, that's an added advantage. But a pure TA rec is fine when the TA is the actual "prof" for the class.

Good luck.
