Professor Recommendations - Question

Hi everyone,

So I was reading the Transfer Admissions 101 thread and I saw a section that said you can have a TA write in conjunction with a professor. I was wondering how exactly I would approach the TA in this situation, would I just say, hi, would you be willing to provide some information for the professor to write a recommendation for me?
I had significantly more contact with my TA than a professor in the class, but I need a recommendation specifically from a professor.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Yes, for large lecture classes a TA can write (or help write) the letter or recommendation. If you are uncomfortable about initially discussing this with your professor, you can talk about it with your TA first and then sit down briefly with the professor and/or the TA a little bit later. However it is very importantly that your professor is up to date as soon as possible! Do not rely on the TA to talk with your professor!
